Rebalancing Description

What is Rebalancing® Bodywork?
Rebalancing® is a form of bodywork, which brings people back into harmony with themselves, so they can live their essential unity of body, mind and heart. It works with a unique synthesis of deep and soft connective tissue manipulation, joint release, energy and breath work, body reading, body awareness training as well as emotions and their expression.
Deep tissue manipulation.
We are freeing tensions in the muscles, through deep, slow and skillful strokes, which are carried out with great ease.
Joint Release.
This is a mobilisation of the joints to remind the body of it's grace in movement. Tensions and toxins which are held in the joints are released in this way.
Breath and Energy Work
Body Awareness Training
As the body releases muscular rigidities and relaxes, energy is set free. At the same time old and unconscious emotional and mental attitudes and patterns which imprison us, can come into our awareness. This helps us to a better understanding of ourselves and of our hidden potentials. Hereby we come closer to our innermost core, which enables us to live life more spontaneously and meaningfully
Scientific Methodology combined with Eastern Meditation Rebalancing® was developed in the late seventies in the Osho Commune in Pune, India. Many therapists from different backgrounds (Rolfing, Neo Reichian Bodywork, Tragering, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, etc) were at that time ready for a new holistic approach to bodywork. Under Osho's guidance and personal feedback Rebalancing® was born. It was a meeting of Western scientific methodology combined with Eastern meditative practice. The new orientation in this concept was that the therapist and the client both can benefit from a session, when presence, meditation and body awareness are integrated parts. That's why the two aspects of technique and meditation have the same value in Rebalancing
Treatment Series
The treatment plan usually includes a series of ten to twelve sessions, however, each session is complete in itself. The series of sessions has a powerful synergetic effect that allows the whole body with all it's systems to be included. In this way, it addresses the individual history of the person, their needs and the challenges of their immediate life situation
Rebalancing Training

The Rebalancing Training is a journey into self-awareness; into touch, and the re-alignment of the participant's own body. Through Rebalancing we can discover the beauty of touch as both therapy and meditation.
For 29 years I have been developing original methods to re-align and rebalance the body under the guidance of Osho my spiritual master. More than 5,000 people from all over the world have been trained and many are successfully practicing this approach to body therapy. Participants receive a complete rebalancing of every part of the body and, what's more, learn to give rebalancing sessions to others.
The training is designed to transform each participant's whole approach to touch, to the body, and to personal creativity. First, through clear demonstrations and supervised practice, we learn to loosen the connective tissue throughout the body, release the joints and then restore the body to its natural state of balance.
Second, we learn that every part of the body has different attitudes stored in it. In fact, medical science is no able to demonstrate that many tensions can be traced to mental and emotional factors.
By becoming aware of the 'memory system' of the body tissues and how to touch that system, we can release repressed feelings as well as the fears and believes which go with them.
Science has found that we use only 15% of human mental capacity.
Since the body/mind is a unit, we feel that people also use no more than 15% of the body's capacity. Through sensory suggestion, visualization, and talking to the body, we can use the mind to open the body, a method we call 'living brain'.
Then we learn the art of self-relaxation. We become capable of moving with more awareness, grace and fluidity.
Giving and receiving sessions from different types of people every day, participants learn many different techniques for rebalancing the body, rather then getting fixed in one technique.
Participants learn to synthesize the techniques into their own way of working with the body through touch.
At the end of the training, participants receive a certificate of graduation and are qualified to begin giving rebalancing sessions.
